Anup Thakkar, Director of Project Management

Anup is a senior financial executive with FILMBANKERS International whose broad range of leadership experience in complex multi-national entertainment companies has yielded a unique profile and expertise in both the domestic and international markets.   His background in home entertainment highlighted his experience in designing specific sales and marketing strategies for different territories.  He managed a $100 million portfolio in the Asia, Pacific and Latin America markets, where he also renegotiated and restructured licensing and distribution agreements.

Prior to joining FILMBANKERS, Anup was the principal of Thakkar Film Consulting in which he developed creative and strategic business alternatives with international initiatives to enhance the economic position of client companies.  He was responsible for strategizing the application of assets and investments in co-production projects between domestic and international animation companies.  He also secured promotional partnerships for key regional home entertainment releases with emphasis on national and account specific retail promotions.

Previously, Anup was the Director of Business Development and Financial Planning for the Home Entertainment Group at MGM Studios.  He also held
various management positions in finance, underwriting and analytical positions with NBC Universal Studios, Medspan and Bank of America.

Anup holds a B.S. in Management and Finance from Pepperdine University and an MBA from Colorado State University.
